FAQ

Why should I use your product?

Cheap paints, do–it–yourself kits and low–end epoxies all yield the same disappointing results. We use high–end, industrial strength products that are installed by specialists. You will have a floor that you will enjoy for many years.

Is your work guaranteed?

Absolutely. We attract many customers from referrals. It is our goal for each customer to be completely satisfied. We take pride in providing a high caliber product and service installation. We provide a three year warranty against cracking, peeling and installation defects.

How much will my new garage floor cost?

We look forward to setting up a free estimate. One of our specialists will come to your home at your convenience to give you an estimate. We will provide answers to any and all questions you might have about our product and the process.

What kind of product colors do you offer?

We offer twelve unique color combinations. However, we can custom blend virtually any color combination that you desire.

How long does the process take?

Our floor coating system usually takes three days to complete.

Where do I store the items in my garage during the floor installation process?

The garage must be completely empty when our installation specialists show up. Most of our customers use back patios, sheds or their backyards. Some customers even rent a POD. www.pods.com

When can I move my belongings back into the garage?

You can walk on your floor after twenty four hours if it does not feel sticky or tacky. You may move small items back into your garage after three days, but we recommend waiting one week for cars and other heavy objects. The curing process takes about seven days but continues to harden for thirty days.

Can your floor coating system be installed if I have a moisture problem?

We do not recommend our floor coating system for a garage floor that is suspected of having moisture problems. It has the potential to lift our product and peel because of the moisture under the surface.

How do I know if I have a moisture problem?

If you have white, green, or dark spots in your garage, you could potentially have a moisture problem. A simple test will determine if you do indeed have this problem. Take a trash bag and tape it to the part of the floor you suspect has the problem. Wait a day and then remove it. If a darker spot appears under the trash bag, you have a moisture problem, and we do not recommend our coating system for your garage floor until the moisture problem is corrected.

I already have a coating on my floor right now; can I still get your product installed?

Yes. We've had customers that were disappointed with other products they have used. When you meet with one of our specialists, he will inspect your floor and explain the best option for removing any existing coating that may be on your floor. An additional fee may apply.

Will stains prevent me from getting my floor done?

Usually not. We have products to combat various stains on our customers’ floors. This is a part of our 1st day preparation process.

Do the chemicals you use cause a harmful vapor or are they flammable?

Our products give off an odor for a few hours after installation, but this will dissipate over time. Our epoxy/polyurethane is not flammable in its cured state; in fact it is fire rated.

Does the grinding preparation make my garage floor weaker?

No, the grinder just removes ant residue, stains, previous paint, and epoxies from the floor. It also provides the proper surface for adhesion.

How do I clean my floor?

A damp mop works for cleaning almost anything off your floor. For more stubborn stains, we recommend using Simple Green (found at most grocery stores).

For a more thorough cleaning, the manufacturer recommends a simple 5 step process:

  • Sweep the floor to rid it of loose debris.
  • Apply a cleaner/degreaser with a deck brush or sprayer.
  • Use the deck brush (medium/stiff bristle) to aid in the release of foreign material.
  • Allow about 5-10 minutes for the cleaning product to take effect.
  • Use a wet vac or a soft squeegee to remove the cleaning product from the floor.
  • Spills should be cleaned up immediately as a safety precaution as well as to prevent staining of the floor.
  • If you have a spot that is oily or greasy, do not use a mop to wipe it up.
  • Do not use a water spray to remove cleaning solution from the floor. It will over–dilute the solution, causing greases and oils to fall back onto the floor surface.

Can you put your product on my outside patio?

No. Our products are only designed for inside use.
